Rear Brake Disc Conversion For Polo 6n

Post by jeci26 »

I HAVE A MK4 POLO 6N REAR AXLE WITH MK3 GOLF STUB AXLES. IT IS RUNNING DISCS AND CALIPERS SO YOU CAN MAKE THE CONVERSION FROM DRUMS TO DISCS ON YOUR 6N.

THIS IS ALREADY TO GO ON. THE AXLE AND CALIPERS HAVE BEEN CLEANED AND THEN A GENEROUS LAYER OF HAMMERITE. I HAVE THE HANDBRAKE CABLES, NEW AXLE BUSHES TO GO IN TO REPLACE THE OLD ONES. IT ALSO COMES WITH BRAIDED BRAKE LINES THAT WERE MADE UP TO FIT FROM THE ORIGINAL LINES TO THE BACK OF THE CALIPER. PRETTY MUCH JUST NEED TO SWAP OVER THE AXLES AND CONNECT EVERYTHING UP!!

HAVE HAD A CHANGE IN DIRECTION WITH THE CAR SO WONT BE NEEDING THIS ANYMORE.

MIGHT HAVE A G60 FRONT SETUP FOR SALE SOON, BUT NEED TO GET THEM OFF THE CAR AS HAVE BEEN USING THEM

LOOKING FOR £250

I am not too sure what the difference is, if any. Best thing would be to ask someone on here or just go to VW and ask for pictures of both axles and see if there is any difference.
Only worked on my 6n so not too sure about the 6n2.
You can always just swicth stub axles, but I am selling it as a ccomplete item, not splitting it up.

Well I am back at work on the 3rd so would only be able to do it in the evening. If you want to do it before then, can meet on the weekend if thats any good for you? Was thinking somewhere around Basingstoke, open to ideas!
Think my email ad is on the first post, got to head off now!

No problem, is all yours. Would you be interested in a rear valence at all? Is for a 6n,not sure if the parts would be the same. Would throw it in with the brakes.
