ARGH damn bolts

Post by Tim_GTi »

Went to change my sidelights and full beams again today,

couldnt quite get to grips with the technique of doing it without removing the bumper, so decided to stick to what i know!

10 mins in though and i'd rounded off a bolt in each of the wheels arches (the ones that secure the bumper to the plastic shielding in the arch), i was fuming!

Anyone got any advice for getting these rounded off bolts back out?

i'm tempted just to give the bulbs to the garage when i get it serviced and just get them to do it

flat head pair of pliers might do it if you've got them out a little failing that and there completely stuffed I would leave it to the garage to sort. You can hammer a flat head into the cross head screws (if thats what they are :?) but to be honest you may damage to the surround.

i tried doing that, no luck :?

may just have to leave it to the garage, or break out the drill!
