Hi all
After some advice. I have a 2003 TDI (100bhp) version. The suspension is starting to get a little soggy so looking to do something with it. I have a couple of questions.
Bushes - is it worth splashing out on powerflex type ones or can people suggest any alternatives? I've heard the bushes are a pain to get out so can they be brought `preloaded'?
Suspension - coilover seem to be the way to go however I am unlikely to fiddle about with them once fitted so is it worth spending the extra?
Anything else I should be looking to do to help with handling?
Cheers,
Si
forgot to mention I also have strut braces top and bottom on the front.
suspension, bushes etc

hi mate
my car is a 2003 TDI 75bhp model now i am not a fan of coilovers so i put the polo down 50mm on springs, some say its a really bumpy ride putting the springs on that low which it is a bit but i recently put a strut brace on my car and boy oh boy what a difference the handling is so much better it sticks to the road like glue
Really up too u if u get springs or coilovers but deffo get a strut brace!!!

I think these guys mean the Seat Ibiza one or one of the aftermarket braces. You might find some information on www.briskoda.net or www.seatforum.netrs_tdi wrote:What strutbrace? Is there a OEM VAG that fits the 1,9 Diesel?david burton wrote:depends entirely on your budget. shocks and springs will be well set up down to 30mm, but coilovers are the better choice all in all.
strut brace - definitely.
