hi, i have just got one of these from vw off a 2003 sharan thinking it would screw straight in. but i should have known it wouldnt be a simple as that! the thread is too wide to fit! DOH! has anyone else got one? if so did you have to get the whole mount? or is there a different one that has the thinner thread part? ( i think silky has one so have pmd him, but any advice would be great cheers)

iv got the same problem too. think i may ave to drill the base thread to make the aerial fit

thats what i was thinking, but didnt want to bugger it up and end up not being able to screw anything in! also didnt fancy paying for a whole new mount as they are Â£40 odd qhid from vw (although the rubber seal thing at the mount base is badly perrished so may need to replace anyway). any idea what sort of drill to use ect?
