Few pics from MK meet 24/02/08

Me and the boyf popped along (in the G60) to a local meet in Milton Keynes today.
Thought i'd pop a few of the photo's on for all to have a look:

And finally, after 3 months in storage, the ol girl got a run-out!

Ha ha nah...he's completely changed challenges!

He bought a 1.6 driver for Â£350 which he is now dismantling into a million pieces and starting again.
I have no idea what the running total is so far but a lot more spending to come with what he has planned!
I spent last friday helping him smooth the engine bay which was pretty soul-destroying but I can see the passion for it.

Here's the thread for it anyways - its becoming a bit of a novel but a great read!

Updates are coming about twice a week so pretty fast moving

The G60 will be resuming its attention towards the end of the summer I think (by the time the driver is complete) but she'll be coming out to play for shows and meets inbetween.
The poor ol girl had drained the battery so we had to get that replaced before we got her out, but WOW how she goes!!
(We'd missed the whistle!!)

Cheers Tim, He's working very hard a couple of evenings a week.
I'm looking forward to the car getting to the stage where we can start putting things back in and onto it!!

Hopefully we'll turn that corner soon.
The idea is for matt-black body, black engine bay with lots of shiny bits!

He's working on it again tonight so keep up with the updates!

He's also a lucky guy having a partner so understanding and helpful!!

My girlfriend would go mental if I spent that amount of time on my car

LOL Thanks Tim!

He's happy doing it. I wouldn't stop him doing anything - he'd just be miserable having a nagging girlfriend so its all good with me!

He gets me involved too and we go to shows/meets together so we just kind of incorporate it into the relationship and it seems to work!

It makes it easier that I enjoy the whole VW scene and I drag him along to the BTCC racing that I like.

Give n take - thats the key I guess!
