How much?

Post by Mouse_GTI »

Would you sell my car for if you were me - as it is or with mods broken? Spec...

http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.p ... opic=41596

I'd probably put the standard air box/pedals/suspension/aerial/rear wiper/stereo/tax disc holder back on. She has had her oil/filter changed every 5k miles of her life (certainly with me, last owner had it done every 5k with one exception when it was changed at a 10k interval). I've also had the cambelt done last year, brake fluid change this year. Spark plugs/fuel filter were done this year before their deadline was due. New clutch also a few weeks ago. Only ever run on Optimax 99% of the time since I bought it in July 2006. Current mileage is almost 46k

I ain't selling btw, just interested in peoples opinions :)

That seems an ok price. Comparing GTI's to other top spec superminis of the same age there is no competition. GTI's hold their value so well

I'd say yours is worth 5k Mouse, I'd like to think mine is worth just a tad more, but I do have only 36k on the clock of this engine.

I know the first thing that would be said if I wrote my car off...

"First dibs on the interior!"

If you are not selling why do you need opinions on value?

Anyway, I would guestimate 4.6 - 4.9k if you were selling and were not in a hurry.

Yeh it's a really well looked after car, and the leather does add to the price, (although will sell soooo quickly if you split it), i reckon 4.5-5k is a good price. I'd certainly like to think mine is worth that much too
