splitters for 16v bumpers

Post by Biddle »

hi guys. Right im getting sick of looking for a valver splitter to no avail. Does anyone know what other splitters fit on the 16v bumper without to much modification. I want to keep the same look as the standard splitter as much as possible, ie i dont want a reiger splitter or anything.

16v splitters are too thin in my eyes. As your in need of a splitter you might aswell get the mk5 polo GTi splitter instead which is much thicker. I think the screws don't align in the same as 16v ones but its still quite easy to make new ones.

Here's an example

yeah i like the look of that. Apart from screws not lining up does it fit? I mean i dont have to chop and bend it to make it fit do i? What about the groove around the bottom of the bumper, will the gti fit into this?

No need to bend/cut like a custom splitter. Not sure if fits the groove but your best if get no replies is to pm someone here you see with it on.

I'm just getting a 16v front sprayed at the moment and putting a 6n2 GTi splitter on, so I'll let you know!

Are they that cheap generally, or are you getting a special price?

Mine has a few scratches on it, so a new one at that price seem highly tempting!
