Seriously WOULDNT reccomend that size of a wheel on the mk5 i have arch work and i still have rubbing on the back with 7.5" RM wheels (8 was a soo bad ive took them off to downgrade to 1" for the front!)

You can get the dishes at http://www.the-polisher.com/index.html he is based in Glasgow but they post.

This is my car, it might help you decide.

This is a 8" wheel with a 205/45/15 tyre.

Picture One with no flare atal:

Arches have been flared here in the last one- TBH its not a stupid flare - i wanted it to work with the current lines of the polo - freed up about 35mm-45mm space though

These are the only pictures i have at work @ the mo!!

It's because you had 205s on them Neil, 195s will help reduce scrubbing alot more.

If your thinking of getting arch work done eventually, stick to the wide boys!!

Get 195/45s all round (maybe even 185/50s for the fronts?), they'll help loads. Then get it to your desired ride height, if they scrub knock the coilies up a bit til you've got the money for arch work, if they don't then your all set! 8)
