Here you go, hope this helps!
Firstly you need to remove the airbag, so disconnect the negative side of the car battery first!

Then you need to remove the steering wheel, this requires an M12 spline drive tool, which can be purchased from here: http://www.shacktools.com/sykespickavan ... -1590.html.

When undoing the bolt, make sure you have the key in the ignition so that the steering lock is NOT engaged, you will need to steady the wheel with one hand whilst undoing the bolt with the other, or get some one to steady it for you. When reinstalling the wheel this bolt needs to be tightened to 55Nm, it should also be marked as it is designed to be used a maximum of five times. Once the bolt has been removed the steering wheel can be removed, there should be a locating mark on the wheel and a corresponding mark on the steering column to shown where it goes. If these marks are not there make your own with a marker pen.
Next you need to remove the steering column trim, the top half just pulls off but do it carefully as not to break anything, it is also connected to the piece of trim below the instrument cluster, this again just pulls off. The bottom half is removed like this:

The two screws are Torx but I can't remember which size. The above pic also shows the airbag slip ring (the thing with the connector on it) DO NOT allow this to turn! Put some tape on it to prevent it from being turned.
Now that you have exposed the stalk you need to remove it. It is held on to the steering column by a ring that has a hex bolt to tighten it. You need to loosen this bolt. You also need to unplug the connector that connects to the stalk. To do this you need to pull up the white tab shown here:

This will release the connector and you should now be able to remove the stalk along with the attached airbag slip ring.
You will need to separate the slip ring from the stalk assembly and transfer it to the new one, remembering not to let it turn whilst doing so. It is held on by a number of lugs (4 if i remember correctly, two top, two bottom) that need to be unclipped.

There is another lug that is a little trickier to unclip. It sits under the top of the stalk assembly, you should be able to see it. To remove it you will have to lever up the top of the stalk assembly. If you have unclipped the other lugs before this the slip ring should come free. You can then clip it to the new stalk assembly.
Refitting is a reversal of removal. Ensuring that there is no one in the car when reconnecting the battery just in case the airbag does go off. You should also de-static yourself before touching the airbag or any of it's connectors.
Any questions just ask
