FCUKGIN RETARDED DRIVERS!!!!!

Post by tegwin »

Some Fckuking useless old bay has just driven into my polo!

Was stationary at a junction and she turned in and took a swipe at right hand corner of the rear bumper...

Its missing a lot of paint and the bump strip has been popped out..

Its totaly distroted.... ARGHH!!!!

Im so angry. I spent the entire morning polishing it as well!

I have arranged to go to her house later with my dad to talk to her about it...

Does anyone know how much a new bumper would cost?

And, how much a repair and respray of my existing bumper would cost?

I am going to write up an accident report and take it for her to read...

Will sort some photos later when I cool down!

Erm i would have been like, eh your details pleased, and soon as that was done and you were home, on the phone to the insurance and getting it sorted!

I'm guessing the bumper will be about £100 - £200 but it'll be the painting it that will cost money. I'd also be claiming for whiplash injuries, cant be to careful nowadays, i got hit in the passenger door, and got myself £1500 for it!

Dont let her fob you off with the i'll be for the damage so she can protect her no claims, f**k the silly cow over and claim like f**k against her!

Sorry to jump on my soapbox, but claiming for injuries you haven't sustained is the lowest of the low in my opinion - people who do that are mainly responsible for people having to pay higher premiums on motor insurance.

Sorry to rant and go off topic but it really annoys me.

Im feeling a little better now.

Went to see her....She is accepting full liability...which is definitely a good thing!

I dont want to claim for medical stuff....I just want the car repaired to the same condition it was in this morning!

And a hire car so I can get to work when they are fixing mine....

Im going to go to the local paintshop where VW send all their crash repairs and get a quote 2mo...I would imagine they will be seriously expensive, but if im not paying then why not!

Im not sure how much damage has been done to the bumper mounts....The bumper is deffinately seriously out of alignment...

hmm, thats a new bumper and more than likely the carrier and mounts, im guessing all in, painted and keys back £550. Get them to blow any other bits in whilst they have the paint in the gun, scuffed mirror backs, roof spoiler etc etc it would be minimal cost.

Well if they have the paint in the gun it would be nice to get various bits and pieces sorted....Might enquire as to how much the rest is going to cost me....If they have it in, might as well get it all sorted.

The offending vehicle.... I WANT MY PAINT BACK!

No the reason our premiums are so high is not because of injury claims, but uninsured drivers.

Sorry but when i was in my accident my whiplash didnt appear for a few days! and he never said he did or did not sustain injury, i was mearly answering his reply, and any form of accident i am in I will claim! So sorry to burst your buble.

Tegwin, first of all sorry to hear about the incident.

My rear bumper got hit by a truck that wandered into my close and couldnt manoeuver his truck out. My rear light cluster was damaged also, and the total damage was about £400-500 I think. Cant remember now because it was a non fault claim, which means no excess and it doesnt affect your NCB... which should apply for you too.

The guy quoted me another £400 (i think) to repolish the whole car... which I didnt take up.

I hope u have a pic of her car with your paint and her number plate in one shot, in case she decides to no accept fault. And yeah... whenever you have an accident, take down insurance and contact details, and get a witness... because some people admit fault at the scene but dont admit it when it gets to the insurance stages.
