Cleaning the '1' seats

Post by nafeGTI »

Apologies if this has been asked a million times before but does anyone recommend any particular cleaning products/methods to remove water marks and general dirt from the cloth 1 seats?

I use AutoGlym Hi-Foam Interior Shampoo, give it a couple of minutes to work then wipe the seats down with a damp chamois leather. Works a treat!

Yeh the Hi Foam stuff works a treat, really gets in there. You've got to let it dry though.

I'm currently using stuff from Turtle Wax (I think), it's also a foam with a brush on the cap, also great stuff.

For very tough, spray the seat with water, fine mist style, gently wipe with baby wipes, if its stubborn then some AG foam but very very little amount, if its the epitomy of a tough stain then believe it or not but Halfords Heavy duty carpet shampoo but again very very little and do the whole seat pad or whole bolster using evenly so that it dries equally, it is very easy to invoke stains with a mix thats too strong.

Yeh i find that, when cleaning a spot you have to do the whole section!

I'll have to try out this baby wipe technique, and brand recommendation
