Fitting Votex Roof Spoiler?

Post by Gra-GT »

Back at Inters this year I managed to acquire myself a Votex Roof spoiler :D. Well I've just have it sprayed and now need to fit it :?

Has anyone here done this before themselves and got any tips/guidance for someone who's rubbish at this sort of thing

Cheers?

just affix it using tigerseal or the likes, available from halfords.
Firstly you'll need to remove the 3rd brake light though

Cheers mate. I got a tube of what I presume is glue in the box so thought I'd use that (its called 21 or P1 or something like that I think :?). Also got a tub of some sort of liquid but not a clue what it is as its in German

Is the brake light easy to take out :?:

check the expiry date on the stuf fin the box - it's probably out of date.

Im helping him fit it

There is a series of round magnets under a sort of masking tape on the underneath of the spoiler - Any ideas what these are for and if they need to stop on or be removed?

Cheers Panda and David, we managed to get it fitted Saturday afternoon.

We had a couple of problems though. First we found out there were no clips in the box for brake light to be fitted, so had to clue that in in the end

Second was when we came to glue it, the tube that was supplied was completely dried up  - so yeah you were right David!

Then had to pop up to Halfords to get some, only to be told they no longer sell it , stopped doing so a few weeks ago, so tried a place round the corner, and neither did they  , but luckily they directed us to another car parts place the other side of Cannock :D and managed to get there at 4:55, and they were closing at 5:00 so was really lucky.

Anyway got some from there and fitted it fine. I was hoping to leave it sitting there for 24 hours like it says in the box, but had to pop down my dads on the Sunday, so that was only 170 mile round trip with the spoiler still taped on  , but it didnt come off so it's all good!!
