6N2 GTi Alloys?

Post by kraized »

Hi guys just a quick question. What is the offset of the standard BBS RXII alloys fitted to a 6N2 GTi?

Also, what is offset range that can be fitted to a 6N2 GTi without modding the car? I want to put 16-inch alloys on my GTi, just unsure what offsets it will take.

Cheers

Nick.

et35 I think...

I'm running 16x7.5j et35 with 195/40's all round, dropped ~40mm with no issues at all...

The RXIIs are et 45 IIRC, I may be wrong though.

Suitable ETs for 16" will also depend alot on the width of the alloy, I generally wouldn't go past 6.5-7j wide, sticking to around the ET 25-45 mark. Depends what stance and and style your going for though.

Wheels I was thinking of are 16"x7 4x100 ET38 and I was gonna fit them with 195/40/16 tyres. Will they fit OK?

Yeh they'd fit fine, although they are quite questionable for styling IMO.

sorry to drag up an old post, im wondering whether 16x7.5" wheels with 195/45/16 tyres et45 will fit on my 6n2 lowered 40mm? I was going for 15s but ive been offered a cheap set so doing a bit of research first.
I dont want them to stick out and remain practical for people in the back with no scrubbing, but really want it flush with the wheel arch so may consider spacers on the rear if anyone has any advice.
thanks :)

They'll fit no problems dude, may be worth considering 40mm profile tyres to allow abit of leeway.Although as you mentioned you may want to fit some spacers to bring the wheels towards the edge of the arch alittle more.

Thanks for that, im just a bit unsure whether 16"s would look too big? when i first bought my car the previous owner had put 17's on and imo it didnt look right so i swapped them for some 15's but with just a 40mm drop i must admit it stills look a bit scared of the kerb.
Would 16x7 et35 work better or does it not really matter too much? I was thinking about a 10-15mm spacer just to bring the rear track out a bit but cant really find any pics.
Options are get some of the cheap fk coilovers on ebay to drop it to about 60mm and find some different 15's, or stick with the 40mm drop and go 16's :?
