Yeah my car is behaving itself at the moment. Still don't want to change it, do wish I had more power sometimes, though I just need to go in my sisters or mums Polos to remind me it is pretty nippy ;)

Still exactly the same. I'm wondering is the slight whining has always been there as that's 5 months now since I first really noticed and no problems yet with the gears. I rarely have the music off in my car

It's a possibililty. From the time I noticed mine to the time it was fixed (about two weeks) it was highly noticable, no problems with selecting gears but most people could hear it.

Since having it repaired, and now knowing what exactly I should be listening out for, the 'box generally does make a relaly really subtle whine. Nothing to get flustered about though.
