Wheel Decision.. To Change or To Keep?

Post by MaxZ »

Have a tough decision here, on which wheels I want to keep.

I love the look of the RMs, but they're starting to get a little bit dull to me, and I want a change.
I've always wanted a set of LMs and would much prefer a set of wheels I don't need to clean every week.

What should I do? Keep RMs or get some LMs instead?

Yes, 16x7s is the only size, but 7.5s fit perfectly along the arch, so 5mm spacers will do the job.
Plus it means less attention from the 5-0

I don't know anything about wheel models but based on the url of the top picture, they are the lm's? I would keep those tbh. Black wheels are old hat imo

What Tom said Max, honestly, the Lm's look more fresh as such on the gti and work well but ive heard they're pretty s**t in quality and have bad lacquer peel etc... plus 16x7 is just too damn skinny... Only reason im selling my wheels is because they're 7s lol and like u i dont like cleaning em all the time. Upto you buddy but id personally stick to the Rm's and get the arches rolled!

Abdul

EDIT: If you're not going to get the arches done get rid of the rm's, at least with the lm's you'll be able to achieve a better stance.. No offence to your current stance lol

Keep and the RM's but paint the centers to brighten them up a bit!

I vote LMs, they suit your specific car better IMO. But to be honest, I can't imagine them being any less high maintenence. You've still got a polished lip, awkward spokes and bolts to get around!

I'd go for the LMs bud, something slightly different, RMs are overdone, even if it is for a good reason haha!

The RMs have now been sold, so some wheels are on the way, possibly not the LMs though :P
