Reg plate etched in on all windows and parts of car?

Well just noticed my reg number is etched into the bottom corner of all the windows and even on my lights...is this standard?

I guess so, never noticed it before though. i'll check on mine tomorrow.

Don't think it is, I'm pretty sure mine doesn't. One of the 3 Saxos I owned (embarrising I know) had it done, even had the the reg in the rear lights. Just think it was a gimmick some security company did a few years ago.

Used to be quite a common thing to do... Stick the reg on every removable piece...that way when things got stolen you knew where they had come from...

Now all modern parts have IDs Date and times of manufacture which tie them back to the ccar...

o ic...because theres a tracker number sticker on the car and didnt know was this to help track the car lol or if theres a tracker at all!
