Im having to sell my much loved 2001 polo gti, but have no idea how much to sell it for.
Its a silver 3dr gti on a 51 plate, 56000 miles, imaculate paint work and a very well looked after interior. please advise and anyone who is interested check it out in the for sale section. cheers peeps.

I'd advise puttting the standard wheels back on if possible, (I had a look at your eBay advertisement) it's more likely to sell with them back on.

Has it had a clutch change in it's lifetime?

Still on original 'box?

Has it had the cambelt tensioners and water pump changed?

I would put it up for 3.5-4k. You may fetch less though all things considered.

Not really the best time to be selling a car m8 prob wont get as much as you could selling it now but the majority I've seen going for are between 3-4k

ta for the replies. thats the kind of price im looking at. the higher end of 3k somewhere around £3850. as for the original wheels. I have them but they need 4 new tyres and im not willing to fork out the cash just to sell the car for the same price. well pass the message round that there is a good condition, low mileage gti for sale!!
keep the suggestions coming, cheers.

i would stick it at high end of 3k and lower 4k considering the mileage on the car is low and that theres no problems on the car and the big jobs been done to it.

The thing is that when someone sells the car for a low price, the whole market starts to follow in that price region therefore it lowers the value of the car in the market and then it would seem normal for people to value it about 2.7k+ for the polo gti which i think is not what its worth. :? ..

I'd put for sale at around £4400, with the original wheels thrown in but don't tell them that till they start to haggle you down

I say we as a polo gti community set the price and all agree to not sell for less than £4000.... keep it tidy though of course.
they were released in limited numbers to the UK, they are very well spec'd, beautiful car, fast little car that doesn't cost the earth to run.

Market is poo at the minute.

Been looking at CTR's as a replacement for the olop and I'm finding identical spec cars that were going for 11/12k at the start of the year being sold for 9/9.5k

Great if you're a buyer but turd if you're selling.
