FS: MK6 Polo 1.4 16v NOW SOLD!

Post by pidge87 »

Ok so the time has come to sell the Polo :(

Details:

VW Polo 1.4 S 16v 75 HP
Black Magic Pearl eff.
PAS, ABS, A/C.
Alarm fitted by previous owner (needs a new batt. in the fob)
52 Plate
60150 miles
Full VW service history
MOT till sept 09
TAX till end 03/09
Needs simple oil/filter change for 60k service
Timing belt, water pump, headgasket, inlet + exhaust mani gaskets, all replaced at 50k along with a full oil/filter change and a coolant flush
Work done at Volkscenter who know the car well and have looked after it for the last 3 years!

For the last MOT new front brake pads were fitted due to the material on one being cracked along with new rear indicator bulbs.
New front discs 4k ago.
Plenty of life left in the rear discs which are infact quite rare. Only fitted to early mk6 1.4's up until the 03 plate when they were changed to drums!

Modifications include:

17x8 et35 BBS LM Replica alloy wheels which are minted (bought in August of this year, covered ~1k max!, no kerbing at all). Tyres are 205/40/17 Falken FK452 tyres which were bought new in March of this year (fronts have ~4mm of tread, rears ~6mm).

FK Silverline, stainless steel, height adjustable coilovers fitted in July 07. Have covered 10k however feel as though they are only about 1k old! Both rear dampers were replaced under warranty by Barry Cooper in August of this year.

Stainless steel powerflow cat-back exhaust system with lifetime warranty through turiff tyres. This was fitted in sept 07 and all the welds are as fresh as youd like. No corrosion whatsoever.

Audi TT front seats in black leather. Fitted in August last year with airbag connectors modified to accept the loom for the polo. These are in fantastic condition with no rips, tears or bolster wear at all.

Sony headunit with flipout screen. This also has an aux-in cable hooked up to accept input from any mp3 player.

Included with the car are the standard front seats, standard suspension, the standard steel wheels/tyres/hubcaps (2 tyres on these were flagged as on the legal limit in the last MOT and have 2mm of tread left. Other 2 have 4-5mm of tread) and also the gamma headunit.

Ill also include, if desired, all the equipment required to fit speakers to the rear side panels. These were bought new from VW 3 years ago and cost me the nasty side of £250! Ive never got round to fitting them however.

The car has just been detailed by Mark Morisson and myself involving ~20 hours of work between the 2 of us over 2 days and as such the car is in fantastic condition.

Bad points (there are always a couple *sigh*) :

The paint on the rear boot handle is bubbling round the edges and a small section has flaked off when hit with the power washer. This is a common problem on mk4/5/6/7 Polos and also on mk4 golfs. It is caused by the plastic handle reacting with the metal bootlid, odd I know but blame VW haha!
There is one spot on the bootlid thats is missing some paint where a previous owner has opened the boot into something (my guess is a garage door). This is about 3-4mm in length and height and has been treated with k-rust then relaquered.
One slight ding (~2mm in size) in the front drivers wing from yet another inconsiderate driver with no care or respect for other people property. Hardly noticeable but I will point this out to whoever comes to view the car.
The usual car park dings in the body work however the car has faired pretty well with none having any paint missing and they are only noticable when standing in just the right place (back corners).
A few stone chips on the bonnet however none have rusted and no surrounding laquer has been removed from them.

The car is cheap to insure (ins. group 3), run, tax and MOT (it never needs anything).

Its always been serviced regularily with anything required being done. Its always been washed at least once a week (usually twice) which really shows in the general condition of the car.

Now the price. Im looking for £4600 ono with everything included.

The car is in Aberdeen :)

Heres a couple of recent pics (thanks to Mark M!):

The car will no longer be used so will stay in its current minted condition as I already have its replacement! :)

Feel free to fire me a PM if your interested :)

Cheers,

Murray

Great example :) Love it!

I must say, looking through the cleaning thread, the finish you have got is absolutely fantastic - I must get myself one of these machine polishers and do it as it really does wonders for the paint!

Still has the standard rear seats in grey cloth.

Never got round to trimming them although wouldnt be a big or expensive job to get done.
