I got a 1.4 8v and as you lot know they dont seem to be an induction kit made for this car so i gave K&N a bell and they want to develop a kit for the car using mine. I just wanted to know if anyones done this and if you lot recon its kosher????
i reckon it would be worth going for it! k&n have a good reputation n they can't afford to dent it! give em ago, maybe get some free stuff out of it n all!
sorry bout that josh
my fault, cud you delete that post
thanks
heres the pic of the induction kit from a mk4 polo 1.0-1.4 mpi
that fit directly on a mk5
I've got a 1.4 8v as well and I was after a k&N induction kit a year ago or so. I went to R-tec and they said that the 1.4 8v version for the MKIV should fit the car, but then when they went to fit it they said they had a problem with the spark plugs not having anywhere to rest on. I can't remember if they said anything about the thing being the right size, but i'm 70% sure they said it didn;t fit.
What do i do?
Anybody have a K&N on a 1.4 8v???!!!
hey basically this how it works there a kit for the 95 after model which is supposed to fit the 2000 models but as with everything it needs alterations!!!!
BUT hopefully K&N will be bringing one out for the 2000 model soon their using my 2000 1.4 8v to work on next month so watch this space!!!
the one i got from www.motorspeed.com fitted a treat on mine
and it states its for mk4 6n polos 1.0-1.4 mpi, get that if you cant wait
roars like a beast
btw you've got a sweet polo there vwpo1o! are your alloys a dark chrome colour? cos they suit it well, are they 17's?
