Ive not had a great deal to do with the mk4 section in the last few months as i bought my mk7 GTI. However in the next week or so hopefully ill be making an unfortunate comeback tour (not unfortunate that im hear just well... read on).
My plans havent gone quite as smoothly as i had once hoped and now my mk7 is costing me far too much money. Im nto selling up just cant afford to put petrol in the bastard. So i need something a little bit more fuel efficient to run around in, and something i can modify cheaply as to keep my face smiling. So project ratty open air is a go go for definate by the looks of things, unless a large sum of money should fall from the sky any day now lol.
My current plans revolve around some serious personalization of the car. Im not talking about making it conform to any scene but it will certainly contain more ratty elements then anything else. Its also going to feature alot of my artwork down the sides. Ive recently been planning and designing a bunny suicides style comic book that's pretty unique and everyone whose seen the concept has told me i just plain have to market it in some way. Well what better starting point then my car which will be as insane and wacky as the comic.
So basicaly im going to use some stainer pens to illustrate my comic characters all down the side of my car. Theyre all the same uniquely styled creation so it wil be a consistent theme around the car telling a short story that i have all ready written in a storyboard format. It will most likely look pretty f****d up lol. But im gonna have the rest of the car dented rusted and buggered anyway so its all in good fun.
All the little imperfections are going to have board marker annotations on it. The car will literally look like a rusty buggered up sketchbook on four wheels!
Its a fairly insane idea but well my ideas usually are i was just wondering what people would think. try to picture it in your head if you can. If you have a sense of humor i should hope you will laugh lol.
The finishing touch wil be a set of polished mk7 GTI wheels... and off course it will be slammed on the set of shocks and springs ive already got. Then hopefully if cashflo improves i will finally get the 1600 head and R6 carbs on, which have now been sitting in my garage for about four Fooking months!

Oh god the knifes and magnet store one has me in fits everytime.
When i say its along the lines of bunny suicides what i mean is really the kind of way its formatted. The single images that kind of explain everything and produce a bit of humour. The only thing with my idea is it does require captions to annotate whats really happening in the scene. What i intend to put on the car will be an annotated storyboard of one of my stories, rather then the completed product itself. Its err very adult humour drawn in a childish basic way. Im going to go have a look for some of my concept sketches but im pretty sure my sketchbook is with my mate at his house for another project we are working on together and with another friend.

My sketchbook is indeed at my mates so i drew up a quick sketch and added a bit of colour off the main chracter CHAOS. This be him:
The conept of the book/comic/whatever is that basically erm... well.. god and chaos are fighting over planet earth. The earth is about half the size they are and its set on top of a set of ikea drawers. No that has no relevace to anything in the story but there you go.
Chaos is kind off pure chaos. Hes not nessesarily evil he just hates co-ordination. Thusly he is constantly trying to ruin gods day, however his problem is he cannot think coherently enough to formulate a decent plan.
In the storyboard piece that will go around the polo its going to be an episode in the life of these two characters called: "The creation of Life".
In brief what happens is chaos rips of his wang. Throws it on the floor, this then evolves into the character known as wang who has a massive member (drawn in the style of one of their arms, the kind off rounded cone sausage style). Chaos's plan is to artificially insemenate god with a bit of himself, thusly corrupting him and ending him for good.
The plan back-fires and when wang latches his member to Gods face god essentially gives him a blowback down his erm.. tube and inflates wang untill he explodes. When he explodes a new character is revealed. A dumpy little guy whose fat round and babylike with very sharp teeth. This is life.

I personally LOVE the idea sounds really fresh. The only thing I was wondering though is that wouldn't you get loads of people complaining/coppers stopping you etc? Although I don't really know the rules on that kind of thing and really hope there wouldn't be a problem like that but you always get the one on the street that can't have a laugh. As I said before though, definitly a cool idea and would love to see the end product!
I dont have time for people without a sense of humor lol. And police well.. my cars garish and loud so they pull me anyway. usually have a car full off hooded gangster looking types lol. The disadvantage of having mates obsessed with graffiti im afraid!
Whole urban lifestyle i just dont get it... lol.
Im glad ive gotten this kind of response from everyone to be honest i was a little afraid of it being regected as too offbeat. Not that it would have stopped me just good too see other people can see the light so to speak lol.

I don't get the whole rat scene, especially people who force it by buggering cars up instead of letting them get like it naturally over time. I also wouldn't be seen dead driving a car with pictures on it but it sounds like something fun to do and this is just me personally so as long as you're having fun, good luck with it! Not everybody is going to find it funny as everybody's different, it doesn't mean they don't have a sense of humour or "can't have a laugh".

ive left me bloody sketchbook at my mates again! What a t*t cant believe ive done that two days in a row now lol.
So jarno ill get more sketches up as soon as possible. Ill even post up the very rough version of the storyboard thats going to go around the car.
And to L'enfant terrible: Yeh i know it doesnt mean they dont have a sense of humour really. Im a too each their own kind off guy. I can understand why people wouldnt want to do such craziness as i am to my car or even as others do to a ratted car. In all fairness its completely illogical to do it. Its devaluing for one and stands out in potentially all the wrong ways. I never was one for logic though lol. If you knew me personally it would all make sense im not a logical kind of guy. For instance i have two haircuts at cone, just for the sake of it. One sides shaved too a number two (the sensible side), the other has a beard connected to it that stops in the middle of my chin and a moheican and a half lol.
Can you sort of see where the characters come from? Two great powers in the dankness of nothing struggling for power. The whole things representative of my mind you know.... again honestly i never just came up with that just then errr.... *whistles and walks away* lol.
Just to let people know aswell i should be starting this in the next two weeks. All dependant on how long it takes the insurance company to come up with the refund on the change over off insurance. Once i have that money in hand ill have a little bit of spare cash to get my suspension on, get it MoT'd Taxed and then back on the road. Then hopefully with fingers very crossed i will have enough to buy the paint pens and cans to get the characters and annotations on. It should only take me a day im a very sketchy artist as it is! the worse it looks the better lol.
I really wanna get a picture of wang up lol. Think that will give people a few giggles or it will drop what very little respect some people may have for me already off the charts into the realms off abomination and disgust lol.

I know this may sound like nicking someone elses idea but have you seen the dude with some of his interior (I think door cards) in comic strips? I think it was just done quite recently. I know you're not going to be going major on this car but I think that putting your comic strip inside like that would look the dog's b*******s, a whole car related to Chaos and his Wang...

started work on the polo yesterday. immobliliser is completely shot. Had to make an attempt at removng that. Got it out ok putting everything back together was a bit of a mother whore. thought i had everything n place but when reattached the battery there was smoke so i detached it only to find i had put an earth to a live on the fuse box so that entire wre shorted out and started to melt ts outer casing very quickly. disconnected in time to save the core but not the casing. So in the next week will have to take the dash out and trace the wre back to check for further damage to the loom. majorly gay has set me back a few days 
Also began stripping the interior. not sure what m gonna do on the inside yet but it will involve funky colours and spray pant of that much i am already sure!
Also found a hole the size of a tennis ball underneath the spare wheel
one more problem to fix. Looking like more of a job then i had orgnally planned but then agan t always bloody is lol.
Pics to come when im actually working on it durng dayligh hours so hopefully monday f not tuesday!
m also going to begn sketching out n permanant marker the character desgns on the side of the car. My mate who has the sketchbook's girlfriend has gone into labour today so im having to wait for his baby to be born before can get that back. Babies such a bloody inconvenience lol

Made a bit more progress since my last update, whenever that was. Not a great deal to report but some generically s**t camera phone quality pics for yall! enjoy!!!
the interior stripped and mangled. The inside of the car is a right state and in need of some serious fibreglass loving before i can start thnnking about how im going to fit the insanse assylum style interior (white buttoned paddng everywhere!)
i was bored the other day, after playng wth the wing and a hammer i found out that i own a mcdonalds green can of spray paint. so thought id give it a go on the bonnet. Its proper s**t but atleast it gives me an idea of what it could look like!
9J OZ BBS looking wheels. Got these in exhcange for my old wheels! whch were standard mk3 golf wheels haha. Proper bargain, theyre in good nick to for a freebee. Gonna have 15's on the back and 14's on the front. Should look good considering im going down about 100mm on the back and 70 on the front lol.
EDIT: Oh and also got a set of half leather recaros from a sierra cosworth to go inside her! Going to try and maker her a 4 seater in the summer. Putting the front seats in the back and having the reacros in the front. with the eventual intention of having 4 recaros.
