no...and from personal experience i would never go there

i once had them swap some tyres over for me, and when tightning the bolts back up to put the wheel on they had over-tightend a bolt and it had snapped. And they didnt even tell me!!!

So i had to go and get the snapped bolt removed at a different (decent/honest) garage

They will find faults... Its in their interest to "find" broken parts so you have to pay them lots of wedge..... Checking the brakes yourself is not rocket science!

Never use Kwikfit. They "WILL" find something wrong even if it's not your brakes. They once told me that my gas shocks were leaking oil!!!

i agree with everyone above....... i never go to kwikfit n e more. (or motest for that matter)

went there once to get my camber checked and he said the tyres are worn so will need new tyres, and he showed me, so i thought fair enough, so i said ok to the new tyres. then he tells me my pads are worn so i will need new pads and discs......

at the end of it i had a bill of nearly £300

after that i vouched never to go there again and i dont let my gf take her car there. i now use my local merityre garage for n e thing like tyres and stuff find them good and friendly..... breaks i get my godfather to do n e way.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me as Adam, they snapped one of the wheel bolts, the guy said he could give me £5 discount for the inconvenience lol
the idiot was tightening the bolt with the gun at full blast instead of using the the big torq wrench.
I'll never go there again, also they're rubbish at aligning your wheels, think they do it on purpose so your tyres wear faster so you come back sooner...

the guy who did it was just a kid and the manager was a real prick... I really wasn't going anywhere talking to him, turned out OK as my regular garage drilled it out for free for me and gave me a new bolt :P

I was getting some wheels balanced and the guy had put it on the spindle squint. He said my wheel was so buckled it was no use. The damn thing was going from side to side.

I tightened it for him

Talking of wheel bolts..

I had to replace all of mine a few months ago because they were all a very funny shape and would not torque up properly...

If in doubt... get them changed... you dont want to loose a wheel at speed!

I would not bother as people have said they will find faults, my bro took his car in for some rear shoes and they told him it needed new discs and pads on the front, they had only been on for 3k. Funny how things always wear on the inside where you cant see them when you go to kwik fit

Apparently its their policy to check the whole car when you take it in, b*******s they are just looking for something to sting you on. The best thing is when I had a look at my bros car all that was wrong was the rear shoes were worn and they never said anything about needing to replace them lol

I must just have the only good kwikfit in the UK by me then, i have used them loads of times.

I have had my brakes check on the polo and they said they were fine. (No charge)

Coilvers fitted (were too low but they sorted that out for me with no problems). (£50 back hander)

I have had the brakes checked on the GF's lupo because of a noise and it turned out to be a stone (No charge)

Coilovers fitted to GF's lupo with no problems whatsoever. (£50 back hander)

All in all, they are pretty decent guys
