Brakes

Post by 1der »

im needing new discs, so i thought id renew the whole brake setup. whats the best thing to get?

My thoughts were:
280mm brake upgrade
Braided brake pipes

Anything else and whats best to get?

Thanks

Depends what you want.... Looks or performance...

the 280mm brake setup looks better but does not give you a vast improvement over the standard setup.....and it costs a lot!

Standard disks with a decent set of pads would be the easiest improvement...unless you wanted to fit some 2/4 pot callipers (Brembo stylie).... That WOULD be expensive....

Braided hoses might make a tiny improvement... but (MAKE SURE THEY ARE PLASTIC COATED!) If you have exposed braid on a road car you end up with grit in the braid which grinds its way though the hose inside....

Maybe just some drilled disks mate,
I was looking at these:

combine them with some quality pads and it should be good enough. 280mm would look a lot better though

Don't suppose you know the spec of the calipers etc?

I just don't fancy paying TSR prices

Id rather price it separately and try get it cheaper
