I'm not sure if I really want to sell but I may have the chance of a low mileage Mk 2 Golf. I will need space on the drive if it all works out so my Jetta is up for sale.
The Jetta has FSH and has just flown through the MOT having had a full new exhaust fitted. It had over £500 spent on the brakes and major service 18 months ago. The FSH is very comprehensive and includes what appears to be every bill from new including the service booklet and owners manual. It even has a log covering every journey and fuel stop which one of the earlier owners kept, the details even include engine temperatures when he stopped for fuel. The interior is near perfect with no rips or wear on the seats. It still has the original dealer plates and everything else bar the radio is stock. The engine pulls like a train and is not in the slightest bit tappety.
I have owned this car for 18 months and it had been used as a daily covering approx 50 miles a day. During this time in has NEVER missed a beat and has always started on the first turn of they key (even when it was -7). The mileage is approaching 130k.
This underneath is absolutely solid. I cleaned the chassis last year and there we no obvious signs of corrosion. It has now been fully waxoyled to keep it that way.
Now for the down sides:
It has no PAS
The water pump is a little noisey (loads of life left in it though)
Ther are some small patches of very light surface rust to the rear door shuts. I must stress they are no more than surface
A few knocks and small dents - car park specials.
The front wheels could do with balancing
It looks like it has been machine polished a few too many times and the paint has worn through to the primer in a few places. The previous owner has tried to cover these using an aerosol. It is not a perfect match although it does polish up OK ish for use as a daily. If I was to keep this I would invest a a respray to get it perfect.
I am having problems with my photobucket account but in the meantime I can email pics to anyone who is GENUINELY interested.
Car is based just outside of Porsmouth
Now for the price....... £575 which I think refelects the rarity and mechanical condition of the car.
