Goodridge Braided Hoses - Choices

Hey everyone. I emailed Goodridge enquiring about the correct part number for a 6 line kit but got no reply. Searching on the forum reveals a few answers

For a Mk4 Polo the part number is TWV0701-4P. Now I read that the front fit fine but the rears don't (something to do with a hole being too big to screw them into).

I also found another part number - SVW0600-6P. Now this is for a Mk2 Golf. A couple of old threads suggest a couple of people had this exact part number fitted to their GTI with no problems (all 6 lines). I have cheapest here:

Just before I order these, to make things confusing there are hoses for the Lupo GTI (SVW0675-4) on Ebay, though I suspect this is only a 4 line kit:

What should I order? (I can't find the ones for the Polo at all)

nice research mate if i could be sure the golf ones would fit i'd buy the 6 line kit no point doing half a job lol. since you dont rate your brakes i think you should go 6 line then you can tell us if they fit lol there cheap too

Oh well I just ordered the Mk2 Golf ones a few hours ago. They are £65 when you include the £9 delivery charge and 15% VAT. What a rip off! Though a cheap rip off as it's still cheaper than every other site I've checked

So out of interest, why are some kits supplied with 6 hoses and others come with 4 ????

I have a Full Corrado G60 Brake Setup on my Mk4 Polo and it already had braided fronts when I got the calipers, I need to do the rears, but on a Corrado where the kit comes with 6 lines, where do the other 2 go ?????

The standard rubber hoses flex under pressure (when you apply the brake pedal). Stainless hoses don't, therefore improving performance. Also, for those of us who have coilies, the Goodridge braided hoses will not rub against the shock absorber and perish!

I need some of these so will watch this topic eagerly. All I need is the right part number and I will go ahead and order some ASAP!

i suppose it depends how you put the hoses though to stop them rubbing as i have normal rubber hoses and have no issues

Yeh it does. Mine are cable tied neatly to the strut so there's no chance of them rubbing.

braided lines...are harder to rub through, most deffonatly, but if you know a thing or two about cars you would know that they increase pedal feel and bite but mainly depends on how spirited your driving is like when your brakes fade all it is, is them and fluid getting hot and expanding so when the crap standard ones get hot they go softer obviously the main diefference of braided lines is so that paired with good pads and disks and fresh fluid they will still feel strong under constant hard braking, and not feel like jelly after 3 times of putting planting your middle pedal, scary feeling not being able to stop,its nice knowing that you can stop so much more confiedently with out fade, also when brake fluid boils (when you get brake fade) its more seseptable to moisture and air hence making the pedal feel crappy....i think to be honest a 1.8turbo owner should have nothing less than a good g60 setup if not 4 pots really...thats if you want to be here next summer lol

ive got G60's with custom discs and some race pads and believe me they stop me! still running normal ibiza hoses though not braided ones

to clear this one up boys, the 6 line kit DOES NOT fit i know i have tried !!!! the hoses would fit but all of them are just short fronts by about an inch rears by about 2cm and mids are no where near so its a deffonate NO NO 4 line banjo kit FTW!!

OK, so I right in thinking that there is nothing avalable off the shelf for the 6N2 GTI then?
