is there any specific cable that i should order from ebay to run vagcom? also wich application of vagcom do i download?

ODB-II cable. VAG-COM 409.1 is the version you need :)

im having problems installing my vagcom. ivedonwloaded it of ross tech, and that went fine. However when i connected my cable, and tried to connect it to vag com it won't work.

thought i would bump this rather then making a new one, i have problem with mine too, everytime i try to scan it just says cannot sync baud rate? any help?

whats vag com???

the machine to diagnose problems from your polo? are you lot downloading it to your computer and doing it from that though?

Vagcom is the software you run to communicate to the car's ECU. It can be run of most househouse laptops using an appropiate cable.

I know that newer VAG models can be programmed with vagcom (daytime running lights in US style, teardrop wiping yes/no, wiper intervals and so on).

What's the benefit if you have a 6N, apart from reading error codes?
