This week I have been having some bad thoughts...

Post by tegwin »

I need some counceling....

I will be 21 in June...so insurance will be a little cheaper... I could quite easily get insured on an Ibiza Cupra R, Leon Cupra R, Audi S3 etc...

This has got me thinking... should I sell the GTI and get something faster....

Only problem is, none of the cars I can think of look anywhere as good as the polo.... few if any come with xenon lights... So im stuck...what do get!!!

Ideally I would stick the ibiza R engine into the polo...but cant do that until I have 1 years NCB in November....Plus it would cost a LOT and not be worth anything!

So what should I do?...What should I buy?..... ArghhhH!!!!!!!

I hate to say it but i agree with tomo, a 1.8T 6n2 gti means the best of both worlds! although i still think cupras look the muts especially with a few mods to tidy the back end up

My mate is trying to persuade me to keep the Polo and get a 1.8T 20v conversion done by PSI Tuning!

I have to agree that there is not a lot else out there that compares favourably to the Polo. But I want a change

Its a tricky one isnt it... Its just the fact that by the time you have spent all that time and money on the conversion you could have bought a top spec Ibiza and tuned that.... or something even more crazy..... Not sure its worth it just for keeping the polos looks.... But as I say, hard decision to make!

Definitely a tough call. And seems like lots of people on here are coming to similar situations!

I'm keeping mine til I have enough money to fully restore and develop a pre/early 90s strip monster 8) And wil keep the polo as a daily

its a tough one, you need to be heavily into it to go for the conversion! but its soooo much fun, boosting past M3's is a great feeling and the sound of K04 on a Polo is insane, mine whistles soooo much and sounds like a jetfighter

but....its so easy to go out and buy something a bit more civilised as there are a lot of cars around now for decent money.

hmmm..... I wont be sprogging any time soon...lol!

hmmm... I guess the s3 does look a little dated... but if its lowered slightly with some nice multispoke wheels.... it does look nice any angry.... you could say the Polo GTI is dated...... deffinately a lot more "cubist" than the modern softboxes...

I think the 'dated' cars look so better. The newer trend of cars repulses me. Everything to come out of the showroom over the last couple of years from every company just looks like a tarted MPV.
