Wonky Headlight & strange cracks?

Post by theclient »

Hi Guys, bit of a weird title i know but i have a wonky (passenger side) Xenon, please see below. Anyone come across this before? Is it a sealed unit? Can it be fixed?

Also I have a really weird series of what look like tiny brittle hairline cracks in in my headlight glass on both xenons.

I thought it would polish out. I'll try to get a good photo soon but you can see it in the second photo. It Makes the lovely clear glass look yellow and blurred, almost like its gone dried out and brittle in the sun... :?

Any ideas/help would be much appreciated!

cheers

Put simply, its caput.

Same happened to mine, and I had to buy two brand new headlights as they were both ruined

They are £160-£200 each depending on where you get them from, so be warned

It sucks, but thats normally the result of a front end shunt when the reflector has dropped that far.

Lucky for you tomo87 just happens to be selling a pair of xenon headlights in the For Sale section for £150. So grab the bargain before sum1 else does!

They could be, but repairing the adjusters on the xenon units is impossible, and the parts are different to the normal headlights.

Plus once they have been popped, they will never seal properly and will likely condensate often.
