Me & My Polo 6n2

Post by nazzurro19 »

hello just joined up to this forum my names Ant and im from norwich i drive a polo 6n2 1.4 e 60bhp

this is my car when i bought it
Image

i have a list of TO-DO and have done

so far the car has a custom number plate - wi-tech lowering springs of 30mm and lenso BSX alloys

i have bought these coilovers to slam it which i will be doing wednesday
Image

im going to mod the car subtley so the next things are:
gti front honeycomb grill
gti splitter
gti spoiler
VW badges painted black
upgrade door speakers and tweeters
then last and all not least sort out my key mark which some jealous person did ! and colour code at the same time

my latest mod i did to the car was a GTI rear axle conversion to get rid of the horrible drum brakes i now have discs all round which is a big upgrade i also forked out for brembo pads and discs on front and zimmerman rears, i also painted my callipers and carriers all round in royal blue to set off my theme

thanks for reading, on wednesday ill do a before and after pics of the ride height dropped and ill get pics of my rear axle

Nice car you have there mate

Sounds like a good plan with the mods. AP coilovers should set it off nicely and the GTI grill makes a huge difference.

Any other body work plans? bumper smoothing perhaps

Keep us posted with the progress

while i had some free time today me and my friend also did the dewiper on the rear window

in case anybody else is thinking of doin this wilco's do the grommets they are 25mm and are 49p or 59p and then some black sillicone in a small tube is £7.99

then finally and not least the last small mod to the car was to shorten the door pins so when locked they sit flush

You wont be dropping it 2" at the rear with 195's mate. The tyres will scrub so bad it will just wear through your arch liners. I am guessing it's scrubbing at the rear as is.

Car looks good though. Get some side pics up :D

Car looks great bud

I meant 2" lower from the pic you already showed seems alot. Not 2" from stock

How are you finding the ap's? I have the same on my car. Good feel to them but they seize too easily.

Looks good mate, a GTI splitter will set the car off like Raz said

See if you can get hold of some Xenon lights as well, they are expensive new but there is always written off GTI's on ebay, just keep a look out. A set always comes along every now and then.

thanks guys, i would like it lower but im already rubbing when going round corners too fast so ive decided 2 keep it at the height it is

how do i get xenons ? just buy the gti healights and then is that all i need ? i do kind of need new headlights and side lights as mine look like they have been sprayed with adhesive glue cause they gone funny lol

Yeah Mate the GTI has Xenon headlights as standard, you need to look out for Polo GTI Xenon headlights on ebay.

You can but Xenon like bulb upgrades for your standard lights but they are just cheap alternatives.
