2001 (51) Red, Three door!
Standard GTI spec including:
Xenon headlights with heated jet washers
6 CD changer in the boot
ABS
Climate control
Totally standard appart from aero wipers up front and white LED front sidelight bulbs.
80,000 miles.
Just had a complete cambelt/tensioner/idler/waterpump/alternator belt change.
New water temp sender, coilpack, HT leads fitted recently.
I am the second owner from new, the car had full main dealer service history when I bought it, since then I have done a full service every 10,000 miles including all filters, oils, plugs etc..... I am an engineering perfectionist... so if something isnt 100% right, it gets replaced regardless of cost!!! (all services are recorded in the book!)
The cloth interior is practically spotless and the paintwork outside is almost as good.
(two issues with the paintwork....there are 2 small scrapes on the front bumper where some kind soul reversed into the car when it was parked. I have been meaning to get them painted out, but have not got round to it,)
four decent tyres.... On reasonable rims...(tidy powdercoated rims, are begining to show signs of corosion, but once they are a little dirty you dont notice it!)
Gearbox rebuilt with SKF bearings at 50,000 miles. New clutch and clutch cable fitted at the same time.
Pedal box has been removed, a steel plate welded in and then put back... it would take an elephant to snap it now!!
With the car there are a box of spares including:
a complete set of standard BBS split rims, split appart waiting polishing/powdercoating
A spare Yokohama S-Drive tyre
A spare front suspension arm and bushes
Spare alterntor belt
Spare brake pedal sensor...
And what ever other parts I can find in the boxes...
I do have a folder somewhere with EVERY invoice and MOT the car has ever had including the origional bill of sale... If I can find it, it comes with the car! I know its in my house somewhere!!!
I am in love with this car, so much so, I am nervous buying another car incase it does not live up to the same high standard that this one has....
I think there is around 7 months MOT and Tax left.. but I will check!
