Standard damper in the back but mod damper in the front???!!

Post by polowoof »

Hi,
I have recently lowered my car 6n by 60mm using damper and spring those that is not adjustable. I have 195/50/15 tyres on it and now I cannot load ppl at the bk or any stuff that are too heavy in the boot becasue it rubs the arch like mad at the back.

After discussing with many people, the safest option would be using the original suspension for the back with the shorter spring from the set of 60mm lower suspension. But would these cause any problem since the height differnece between the front and the back? any effect on handling?

I thought about arch rolling (not 100% gurantee solve the problem) or lower profile tyes ( too $$ + not def solve th problem)

Can anyone give me some opinion?

Cheers

No that would be a really bad idea. The stock struts compress a lot easier than the after market ones, so it would effectively be worse.

Best option is to buy properly profiled tyres, 195/45, not 195/50s. This WILL solve the issue.
