Insurance rip off

A word of warning to those out there with modified cars. Do not take Adrian Flux d/d scheme it is a TOTAL RIP OFF.

1. They tell you it will cost £25 extra for the d/d method... Wrong it is £40 just to set up before interest is added on top.
2. They tell you the interest is 14%. Wrong it is 37.7% APR.
3. They do not tell you that they are about to open a credit account.
4. They do not tell you that they are going to do a credit check on you to do d/d.
5. They gave me a credit of £1500 when my insurance after deposit was £235.

They are supposed to be authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority but do not comply with any of the minimum standards set out by law for them.

Please be aware.

Cheers for the heads up - I always pay a one off cost with them because of the interest but it's good to know this in case we were interested in d/d.

Elephant put my premium UP £300 this year even though i've now got 5yrs no claims...

They do it every year then a simple quote online and phone call brings it back down to a more sensible price. I pay £390 for the GT, they were trying to charge me £705!!!
