Fan making a noise

Hi

Recently my car's fan has been making a funny noise, someone told me it's the bearings in the fan and the whole lot will maybe need replacing

i don't really know much about cars, i don't even know how the fan works, all i know is it keeps the engine cool?

after i stop the car the fan keeps going and it sounds well rough and noisy.

do you think i could change the fan myself? is it a big job? would a garage charge me allot?

Swapping the fan is just a case of unbolting the old fan and bolting on the new fan, taking care to not damage the radiator.
