Gearbox Query..

Hey guys, just after some advice.

Polo is on 59k now so im starting to get very nervous about the gearbox. I was just having a look round the other day at recon prices etc and found that some Lupo GTIs came with 6 speed boxes. I know (or think) that they came with the same engines, so could this go into a Polo with out too much trouble? I cant find anyone else on here that has done it, just wondered if this for any reason?

Am afraid the Lupo Box wont fit into the Polo for a number of reasons, one reason being that the Lupo has a Hydraulic clutch and the Polo has cable clutch. Secondly, i dont think they actually fit the Polo engine anyhow.

Recon gearboxes are part of the Polo experience i am afraid...My advice to anyone who has a Polo Gti, start saving early to avoid shock cash falls lol

The gearbox issue is the main reason i think Polos are silly cheap in comparison to Lupos, because apart from the Gearbox they are superior cars by far, maybe not as quirky looking but certainly more quality
