Mintex Brakes
Mintex Brakes
Anyone running them? I'm in the market for brakes soon...pads + discs all round & these seem well priced. How do they compare to the likes of EBC? Still an upgrade over the standards I assume?

Re: Mintex Brakes
Mintex are the UK manufacturing arm of TMD - Friction, and their main quality brands are Pagid and Textar, which were fitted to your car at the factory, first one at front the second on the rear. I've seen modern Mintex pads as GSF sent it to me as same as Pagid and Textar - it was not, none of the pads supplied for the Polo had anti-squeal material fitted and the rear had the wrong bolts (wrong head type) and only two in the pack - nothing really like the real thing from Pagid and Textar, so yes they would be cheaper!

Re: Mintex Brakes
I've had the Pagid fast road pads before and they were spot on.

Re: Mintex Brakes
got ebc green stuff and ate power discs all round on mine. had stand fitted before that and the ebc pads certainly seem to stop better. got them from eurocarparts and all in i think it was about £250. didnt take long to fit them. they work well once nice and warm but do squeal a bit.
Re: Mintex Brakes
I am running mintex discs and they seem fine no problems with them Had use std vw pads as mintex gave me the wrong pads.GR33NIE wrote:Anyone running them?
