as no one wants them i may be forced to put them on my car when i really dont want to when i put them on the car they had 225 45 17s would this make them stick out more than what they would with 205 40 17 im really confused with how this works.

The profile (45) is a percentage of the width - so they will not only stick out more by 10mm as opposed to 205 width tyres, they will also be a lot taller which is the main issue. The circumference of the tyre will be large compared to the standard fitment and this will cause issues.

The first thing that will be wrong is your speedo will be about 10% out.

so if i put the right tyres on the car they would make a big difference in how they look on the car?

the car looks like a monster truck with these wheels on and they do stick out a lot
