Joe's GTI *update 14/6/10* Page 3 few Dubmania pics..

Post by joe2612 »

I know it's taken me a while, but here are some pics of my second GTi, i've had it since end of january and so far have done the following since picking it up:

1. Fit aero wipers
2. Fit my old gti grill which had the red piping and new GTI badge
3. Fit my old coilies
4. Do a wheel swap with cjwardy 8)
5. Fit cat back exhaust
6. Two new toyo proxes
7. Fit double din sat nav, amp and sub
8. Touch-up and repaint brake calipers
9. New front discs and pads, the ones on there sounded like a dieing cat ( from my old gti which were newish)
10. sprayed all the grills satin black so they look new
11. Fit the popular LED sidelights from ultraleds
12. Fit stubby aerial ( which actually arrived the day i rolled my first one :( )
13. Fully detailed and machine polished

and few more nitty gritty bits... let me know your thoughts 8)

Its looking good mate :) . Nice to see you have gone for another black GTI too

Wheels really do suit it with the Black/Chrome combo. What Cat back exhaust have you fitted? brand?

Its a custom longlife system, and i agree the black and chrome and red really blends well... Think i'll keep the VW badges chrome though as opposed to black.

Well it's been a while so thought i'd post a little update on the workings on my Gti over the past few weeks...

Had a new exhaust fitted 2 weeks ago by long life, the old long life was too subtle and quiet for my liking. Decided to go for a twin pipe with a small cutout in the bumper so its nice and flush and oem looking 8) Also de wipered the rear aswell...

Still need to sort out my reversing light, wimpy sounding horn and most importantly the struggling passenger window!!

Here are some flicks taken the other day with my mates 'Lowpo' aka noody's car :-), am currentley going over her with Menzerna final finish so will update some new better pictures soon!

Let us know your thoughts 8)
