Rear Disk Brakes Issue
Hi guys... Basically I want to put rear disk brakes on my 1.4 TDI Polo because I have disk brakes at the front but at the rear I have those ugly drum breaks and as I want to change alloys I don't want to have some ugly drum brakes sticking out behind them.... The problem is I don't know what disk brakes I can put on the rear of my polo and fit correctly too... Was wondering if someone could shed some light on this and get back to me... Thanks!
Re: Rear Disk Brakes Issue
I believe that you have to change the rear beam

ahhh sounds like a laugh!!! hahaha i just want to get rid of the hideous drum brakes! thanks for the input though mate! what about taking the front disk brakes off the front of another polo 9n and putting them on the rear of my car?
Re: Rear Disk Brakes Issue
Easier to find a polo with rear disc and taking the rear beam off that

Re: Rear Disk Brakes Issue
Front discs are far bigger than a rear disk on one of these, and the calipers wont fit whatsoever as the hubs are completely different.

But could I not just take the rear disk brakes and calipers off another polo 9n and put them on my car?
Re: Rear Disk Brakes Issue
You need hubs from a GTi/Fabia VRS/Ibiza FR for a start I sure there is a list on here somewhere if you do a search veedub9n stated it iirc

Sorry you couldn't send me a link to the convo about the rear brake when veedub explains what has to be done?
Re: Rear Disk Brakes Issue
