Alternator cable

I have a polo 2003 1.4 tdi twist. It was bought accident damaged; the cable/plug which plugs into the right hand side of the alternator (if looking at it from the front of the car) is broken.
It’s a 2 core wire and has 2 pins in the plug.

Does anyone know what cable is connected to? Or any part numbers that may be useful? I’ve tried searching for it but have had no luck.

managed to find the cable plug, but which way do the wires go round?

which colour at the bottom and which at the top
