Exhaust replacement - 6N2 Gti

Post by iggy350 »

Hey guys

Long times since I have been on here.

Just after a little advise. It looks like my exhaust is broken, well rattling like crazy. Seems the middle box brakets have gone and maybe the backbox.
I went to VW to get a price for replacements and its like over £300 which is a little crazy, I think atleast.

Where would you guys go get them replaced. I had a look at GSF and europarts but didnt look like they did them for the Polo GTi maybe I need to phone them.

Anyways, if you have fixed this problem in the past what did you guys do?

Thanks

well what I was thinking is get the middle box from a place I know that does it for £45 and get one of these aftermarket twin exhausts from ebay for about £100 or so, cos its just way cheaper than the OEM VW option

edit: oh yeah this place I got dont do the Back box

Your probably better off just getting a power flow stainless steel cat-back exhaust.
Life time guarntee and they are cheaper than the OEM systems, makes the car sound nicer too.

Contact your local power flow dealer for a quote, it wont be anymore than £250, bargain imo

yea that looks like the best option tbh
Does that include fitting or just the parts?

Normally includes fitting too mate, they are about £179.00 for the system plus fitting & VAT.
I was quoted £250 all in at Demon Tweeks.

It should'nt be anymore than that mate.
Best to give your local dealer a call and ask for quotation
