New Car, Few Questions

Post by onq »

Well i have had the car a day now and since tinnkering i have found a few things that need done and a few things i want to change so any help pointing me in the right directions is massivly appreciated.

1 Noticed the lights on the car are very blue so i had a look and they are the standard HID setup but i think the bulbs have been changed, is this possible or are all the bulbs very blue ?

2 The crankcase breather hose is split which is making it stink, does anyone have the part number for the hose or can it be replaced with a catch can ?

3 What size spacers for the car, i dont want them to stick past the arches but really think it would look much better with a wide stance

4 Really not sure about the rear lights on the car, they have been changed before i bought it, i think they might be hella, can someone confirm this for me as i might be removing them

Image

prob loads more questions but cant think of em right now

Yo yo yo!!

1. Yes it is possible to change the bulbs, they are D2S HID bulbs and can be bought from most motorfactos now-a-days and even more so on-line. The standard bulbs are 4300k which are more yellow/white than blue so at a guess your's may have been changed at somepoint. Most blue bulbs are 6000k which is a popular upgrade on these cars.

2. No idea on the part number. But you can get a oil catch tank, but if your running the standard air box the hole which the breather hose fastens to will need to be blocked.

3. No idea, 20mm on the rear?

4. These are 100% non OE. Can't tell you the make as they could be anything, just check for markings on the lights.
