General information - I've got a VW Polo for sale, Reflex Silver in colour, as stated it is a non runner as I was coming back from Birmingham one evening and got to Stafford and as I pulled away from a set of lights something went bang. It still runs but won't get into gear. The car is currently at my house and I'd rather sell it as a whole rather than split at this moment in time. Who ever collects it will need it traliored, and give me plenty of warning as I need to transfer the plates back over to the originals. But may do that when I get a spare weekend. I am not 100% sure what the problem is with the car but your welcome to come and look for yourself. Few details about the car below.

Car is standard on the outside apart from the front fog lights and bee sting aerial. Will put original VW Radio/Cassette back in.

Out of interest, how does the clutch pedal feel when depressed?

For anyone interested in buying it, its likely to just need a new clutch. Same thing happened to me!

My grandfather had a look at it yesterday and thinks (please bare in mind he is NOT a mechanic) it's the head gasket as there is Oil over then engine bay.

Are you open to realistic offers? It's just that a fully working 2001 1.4 with around 100k looks to be around £1500 on Autotrader with a warranty. It seems this needs a headgasket and the gearbox problem (clutch) sorted, and trailored away.

Just some friendly advice.
