HELP -- Fitting Roof Spoiler

NEW QUESTION AT THE BOTTOM.........

Quick question guys,

I bought a Genuine VW Polo 9n Roof Spoiler.

On ebay, in search box, type: 320643438728, that's the one.

Question: Can I use the standard rear high level brake light to use and fit into the spoiler or do I have to buy a new high-level brake light to fit into it?

Looks like a Votex spoiler so you need to use the standard fit high-level brake light for it.

Thats good news, am getting my mate who is also a mechanic with his own workshop/business to fit it, easy enough to do if you know how I guess! The better news is I dont have to purchase another light!

yeah youd use the standard light mate, you just change the clips on the light which you screw into to the flat ones in the kit which it says is provided

Nice one, yeah it arrived today and it does have the fitting kit, just sending if off for spraying tomorrow! Cheers.

The spoiler is ready to be fitted. As well as the little magnets in it, the spoiler is attached to the car by glue. my question is if the glue is from the original fitting kit, which could be like 10 years old now, will it still be good to use i.e. will it hold firm, or am I better off using an Araldite or something?! thanks.

10 year old blue? Your car doesn't look faded, I'm sure it'll be fine in a couple of years

In all seriousness, get some new adhesive, like tigerseal or something.

Use Tigerseal or Sikaflex.

You can get Sikaflex from ScrewFix.

Ha - now edited, thanks Ask!

And OK will look into getting the new adhesive, fitting it on Monday and need to leave to stand for 24hours before I drive it to let it all set etc. So hopefully have some pics up on Tuesday!
