Brakes on a 1.2 E

Post by karlak »

I need to do some minor service stuff on the newly aquired '52 Polo 1.2 E.

My son is using it beside his Driving lessons for extra practice, but he finds (as do I) the brakes very Sharp. Seems to be very little in the way of brake feel and then it will come on really sharp. Deos make it very difficult for him while learning.

So before I go in there with spanners and stuff, is this normal for the Polo? If not, what do we think could be the main suspect causing the issue ?

Cheers for any help :)

They are strong brakes but i think you may need to bleed them to get a smoother feel by the sounds of it

Something to get used to I'm afraid. Felt a bit weird when I first got my Polo but you get used to it in no time.
