Fellow GTI's

Post by Bradley »

After seeing alot of people show their GTI some TLC ive looked in the service book to see what im going to get carried out on the GTI in a few months time.

I was thinking have many of you driven another GTI?.I know Joe is a GTI whore and is now on his third one but how have others felt to your own?.Be it better worse etc just curious.

Joe if you read this, have any of yours felt considerably different performance/smoothness wise?.

It's not my own personal experience but....

Jack has a mate called rich, he brought his missus a black three door gti. Was in really good nick and didn't have many miles for the year. (specially compared to Ours) -however it did have a 5 year gap in the service history.

When jack first got our gti, both Rich and Jack drove both cars - They both agreed they felt a lack in performance from Rich's GTI in comparison.

Sorry I can't go into more detail. I would have to get them to explain the feel of both. But I hopefully it kinnda shows how important services are and general TLC of an engine.

Well I have my eye on a red one today on g60's.

1 month with out a car is bad BUT 1 month without a Gti is worse.

Hopefully here comes Gti 2!!!

Ahem well, the its harder to compare directly as i didnt drive all three in the space of a short amount of time.

First one definitely the worse: think it had a tdi gearbox in it so the ratios were all wrong and the clutch was horrible. Second one was definitely the best, as for the third well it felt the worse just before i took it off the road- will be able to report back next week when she is driven

Sounds like there is some variations around then,be wicked if we all made it to a show loads of GTI's in a row.It is clinically proven the Silver 3 doors are the fastest.

Chris-Myself and Brian Earl Spearlman will be along for that :)

Brad-Buy it,you know what goes wrong with these now so get a gooden.

Joe-Look foward to hearing from you, after the service parts you've put into her im sure she'll run nicely.

Red is without a doubt the fastest colour, regardless of clinical proof :D

My daughter is 7 and she just said red is faster than black but daddy's silver Gti was much faster than the lot. LMFAO.

Alex, that all the proof I need.
