Anyone know exactly what it could be? Think I need to change the temp sensor too? Because the temp gauge has been playing up since I got the car, although actually it seems to be working these days.
But the last time we scanned for errors it gave the following errors

New temp gauge and check the spark plugs and HT leads

Also check the wiring for the precat lambda which is on the front of the manifold straight out the engine. The wiring on these often gets damaged, but it may also signify the that sensor needs replacing

thanks for your help mate, my mate said that the lambda sensor was reading 0% so that must be faulty too, not sure where it is based tho?

also, any ideas if my cat could be causing these problems? brother mentioned he could smell rotten egg altho i havent really noticed it yet (not really been driving the car in this state)

The lambda is located literally where the exhaust manifold is on the right hand side. Look down into the engine bay at the front and youll see it bolted in

It could be the wiring as I say, so give it a good check

Your cat wouldnt be causing this. Im 99% sure of that

Cheers pal. I had a look at the lambda sensor. You were right, one of the wires was split so fixed that. Will check if it's still reading 0% on the laptop when my mate is free

Also changed the temp sensor an got mechanic to check the car, he inspected and changed the plugs, seems to have cured the problem (for now anyway)

All I need to do now is sort out the AC switch??

i might get kwik fit to check the A.C :)

car was fine for a couple of days, started becoming jerky again, think that means theres deffo summat up with 4 spark/ht lead? because all the mechanic did was clean them up
