another windown problem but a strange one

right got a strange problem with the windows the driver switch console that operates the driver and passenger windows isnt working right, the drivers switch doesnt work at all and the passenger switch when pulled up goes down and when pressed down goes down? tried another switch and no avail?? the passenger switch on the passenger side works fine

Check the wiring in the door to the car. These often break, the earth shorts and you get funny behaviour.

yeah thinking of it in my other one the brown earth wire broke and it didnt work properly
