anyone activated needle sweep on their gti yet this is a standard feature on the vrs which i guess should work on the polo

*Do this at your own risk*
In Vag Com:
Address 17 – Instruments
Adaptation 10
Select “Staging” from the drop down list
Select “Active” from the drop down list
Save the changes
Done!
Now you might not see the cluster staging happen immediately after enabling it thru Vag Com…. You may need to key the car off & then open the door and then close it, and then key on the ignition again and then you should see it happen!

Don't think that this function is available on the 9N3. I haven't looked for it but there isn't any obvious way that I've noticed...
I don't know what to think of needle sweeps to be honest - I think it looks ace on videos but I actually did it once on an Audi and after about 2 starts I was finding it irritating. Personal preference I guess...

any more info on this one? has anyone activated it yet? tried with my vag com today and once i selected staging in the drop down menu its just said it was not available? anyone know of a way round this problem? cheers for any help in advance

Sorry to resurrect a bit of a dead thread but did anyone hear back from ross tech regarding the needle sweep function. I've just checked with vcds 10.6.4 and with 11.8 beta and the staging function in instruments is not available
I'd like this feature and if I know it's impossible I'll have some sort of closure
