Turbo cutting out

Post by Jollus »

Anyone know why my turbo has been deciding to cut out every so often? Its a 1.4 TDI 9n. I had a remap a while ago and it has been fine since then. Only recently, when on a drive, there is a small surge and the turbo cuts out so the car is really slow. No warning lights on the dash. I pull over, restart the engine and the turbos back! It seems to be once a month it does it. Usually early into a drive it will cut out so I will restart engine and then its fine for another month! lol creasing me

Could be the N75 valve.

Turn the key so that the electrics on the but engine is not running. Lift the bonnet and see if you can hear the N75 valve clicking.

Had this happening on the g/f's Arosa but the problem fixed it's self :?

Nah couldn't hear anything clicking under the bonnet when I turned the key. The car seems to do it on a cold start if I throttle it shortly into a cold start. But after re-setting the engine the car doesnt cut out again. It doesnt always do this on cold starts just on some.
