oil light

hi guys

bit annoyed really just had my car serviced by vag for £490... and a few days later my oil light as started flashing orange on start up

checked book and it said the part needed replacement.

shouldnt they have checked this?

any how

any one know what part it is i need to replace?

Isn't orange oil lamp a level warning? And technically no its not considered part of a service if there was no fault showing, if wasnt doing it when it left them then theres not a lot that they can do about it. It could just be a really bad coincidence its happened so shortly after.
I know it sounds daft and you might have already done it but check the oil level.

I'm not one to stick up for dealers btw :wink:

If the oil level is ok according to the dipstick then it may well be a new level sensor or something :?

yeah it is the oil lamp, but its flashing not staying on.

ive checked oil level and it just had an oil change so i pressumed the levels were fine,

ill check them again

Mine does this just when engine has been started and am sure it's part of the checks when starting
