Strange problem with door lock...

Hi Guys, i posted this in the 9n section but wanted to guage your thoughts aswell..

Basically i bought an '06 polo last week for a friend and today discovered you can pull the door lock barrel out with your hand...



what on earth is going on here- looks to me possibly that the locks have been changed badly due to a lost key or somewhat

Sounds like it's been broken into at some point, there the easiest cars to get into should you want to,

As for a solution I'm not sure. I'd get brand new handles and refit those barrels into them.
